Hepatitis Itself

Hepatitis is a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI). When a person gets the virus it automatically targets the liver. The liver then becomes inflammed which can cause dire pain for the victim.

Eventually if you are very unlucky, the damage will result with the cirrhosis of the liver. This means your liver is dead. A transplant from a compatible donor could be your only hope for survival.

Besides intercourse, hepatitis A can be caught via contaminated food and extremely dirty water. While Hepatitis B (Serum Hepatitis) is most commonly caught through contaminated blood usually through a bad transfusion. As for Hepatitis C scientists until today are still not sure what causes this virus to appear in people. This virus combines with Hep B and causes the victim a 20% chance of cirrhosis.
